A bundle is the box you buy when you want a bit of everything: nine play boosters, a pack of lands, a spindown die and a storage box, all in one printed box that looks like a gift rather than a shipment. We stock seven MTG bundles from $55.49, including three gift bundles that add a collector booster.

The sections below explain exactly what is inside each type, when a bundle beats a booster box on value, and which bundles work as a first purchase for a new player. The gift bundles are the ones that sell out first every December, so the timing advice near the end is worth reading if you are buying for a birthday.

What is inside an MTG bundle

A standard bundle contains nine play boosters, a pack of 40 basic lands split between foil and non-foil, a spindown life die and a card storage box printed with the set art. The box is the part people underestimate: it holds a sleeved 100-card Commander deck comfortably, which is why bundles end up on shelves long after the packs are opened.

A gift bundle adds a collector booster and a foil land pack to the same contents, which is where the extra $20 to $30 goes. Our Star Trek Beam Me Up gift bundle at $116.99 is the most expensive bundle we list and the only one that pairs a current pre-order set with a collector pack.

Stock levels change daily, and the listing is the only place that shows the current position.

Nothing on this page is a promise about what a pack contains; that is decided by the printer.

Prices move with the market, so the figure on the listing is the figure you pay at checkout.

Condition and provenance are checked at dispatch, never assumed.

MTG bundle value: what the nine packs cost you

The maths on a bundle is simple once you price the parts. Nine play boosters at $5.49 is $49.41, the land pack is worth roughly $8 retail, the die and box cover the rest. At $55.49 a bundle is close to the sum of its parts rather than a discount, which is the honest way to describe it: you are buying convenience and a gift-ready box, not a bargain.

Bundles here, with the per-pack figure
Bundle Price Boosters Cost per booster
The Hobbit Bundle $55.49 9 $6.17
Strixhaven Bundle $55.49 9 $6.17
Marvel Super Heroes Bundle $61.49 9 $6.83
Star Trek Bundle $67.49 9 $7.50
Marvel Super Heroes Gift Bundle $85.99 11 $7.82
Spider-Man Gift Bundle $85.99 11 $7.82
Star Trek Beam Me Up Gift Bundle $116.99 11 $10.64

Compare that with a booster box, where 30 packs land at $4.10 to $5.33 each. A box is the cheaper way to buy packs; a bundle is the cheaper way to buy a present that looks like one.

Gift bundles and holiday timing

Gift bundles are the only sealed MTG product designed to be given without wrapping paper. The box is rigid, printed on all sides and opens like a lid rather than a tear strip, and the collector booster inside is the part that makes it feel like more than nine packs.

Stock is the constraint. Gift bundles are printed once per set and are not reprinted when they sell out, so the three we list will not be replaced at the same price. If you are buying for December, buy in November; if you are buying for a birthday, check the dispatch cut-off rather than assuming next-day delivery will save you.

Bundles for new players and returning players

For a complete beginner, a bundle plus a friend who already plays is enough to start: nine packs, lands to build with, and a box to keep it in. For a returning player who has not bought since the draft booster era, a bundle is the cheapest way to see what a current set looks like without committing to 30 packs.

What a bundle will not do is give you a playable 60-card deck. The packs are randomised and the land pack is basic lands only. If the goal is a deck you can play tonight, our MTG starter decks and preconstructed Commander decks are the right purchase instead.

Delivery and gift-friendly packaging

Bundles ship in a plain outer carton with the printed bundle box inside, protected by paper rather than loose fill so the corners stay square. Orders placed before 5pm leave the same working day with FedEx, DHL, USPS or a local courier, and delivery is free over $1,000.

If the bundle is a gift going straight to someone else, put their address in the delivery field at checkout and add a note; we include the packing slip without prices as standard. Unopened bundles can be returned within 48 hours of purchase, and the returns page explains the condition rules.

Sealed MTG bundle condition and what the shrink wrap proves

A sealed MTG bundle is wrapped in a single shrink film that covers the whole box, including the lid edge. That film is the only proof that the nine packs inside are the packs the printer put there, because the box itself opens without any tamper seal.

Three things to check on arrival. The film should be continuous over the lid seam and the base, with no overlap patch where a second layer has been added. The film should be taut, not loose enough to slide. And the printed art on the box should line up with the window or cut-out, if the bundle has one, because a rewrap usually sits a few millimetres off.

We photograph every bundle when it arrives, before it goes on the shelf. If the wrap on your delivery does not match the photo on the listing, contact us within 48 hours and we will replace the bundle. Once the film is cut, the bundle cannot be returned, because the packs inside are randomised and cannot be resold as sealed.

MTG bundles compared: which set to buy

Every MTG bundle on this page has the same core contents, so the choice comes down to the set, the price and whether you want the collector booster. The table below is the short version, using the prices on our own listings.

Bundles by set and price
Bundle Type Price Why pick it
The Hobbit Bundle Standard $55.49 Licensed set, cheapest entry point
Strixhaven Bundle Standard $55.49 Spell-heavy set, good for Commander
Marvel Super Heroes Bundle Standard $61.49 Licensed art, gift-friendly
Star Trek Bundle Standard $67.49 Pre-order set, releases 13 Nov 2026
Marvel Super Heroes Gift Bundle Gift $85.99 Adds a collector booster
Spider-Man Gift Bundle Gift $85.99 Licensed set plus collector pack
Star Trek Beam Me Up Gift Bundle Gift $116.99 Premium gift, pre-order set

If you are buying for a player who already owns decks, the cheapest standard bundle is the sensible pick: the packs are the point and the box is a bonus. If the bundle is a present for someone who collects, the gift bundle is the one that reads as a gift, because the collector booster inside is visible on the box art.

Are MTG bundles worth it for collectors?

Collectors usually skip bundles, and there is a reason: nine play boosters give a wide spread of ordinary cards, not the treatments a collector wants. If your goal is borderless, extended art or foil showcases, the collector booster in a gift bundle is the only part that matters, and buying one collector pack directly is cheaper than buying a gift bundle to get it.

Where bundles do earn their place in a collection is as sealed product. An unopened bundle from a licensed set is a compact, displayable unit with a printed box, and it stores far more easily than a 30-pack display. Some collectors keep one bundle per set for exactly that reason.

The honest summary: bundles are a player product with a collector booster bolted on for the gift version. If you want treatments, buy collector boosters; if you want a set to open with friends, buy a bundle or a box.

Prices move with the market, so the figure on the listing is the figure you pay at checkout.

Frequently asked questions

How many packs are in an MTG bundle?

Nine play boosters in a standard bundle, and ten play boosters plus one collector booster in a gift bundle.

Is a bundle better value than a booster box?

No, if you are buying packs. A booster box runs $4.10 to $5.33 per pack while a bundle runs $6.17 to $10.64. A bundle is better value as a gift or a first purchase.

What else comes in a bundle?

A 40-card pack of basic lands, a spindown life die and a printed storage box that holds a sleeved Commander deck.

Are bundles sealed?

Yes. Bundles arrive shrink-wrapped by the printer and we photograph each one on arrival.

Can I return a bundle?

An unopened bundle can be returned within 48 hours of purchase. Broken shrink wrap means the packs inside cannot be resold, so opened bundles are not returnable.

Nothing on this page is a promise about what a pack contains; that is decided by the printer.

Prices move with the market, so the figure on the listing is the figure you pay at checkout.
