These terms apply to every order placed with PokeCards Online. They are written in plain English rather than legal shorthand, because a term nobody reads protects nobody. Where a detail depends on the business itself, such as the registered name or the governing state, it appears in square brackets for the owner to complete before this page is published.

1. Who you are contracting with
PokeCards Online is the trading name used on this website. The legal entity behind it is [LEGAL BUSINESS NAME], registered at [BUSINESS ADDRESS] in [STATE]. References to we, us and our mean that entity; references to you mean the person placing the order.
By placing an order you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, or that you have the permission of the account holder, and that the payment method used is yours or is used with authorisation. Orders placed on behalf of a business are accepted on the basis that the person placing them can bind that business.
2. Orders and acceptance
Adding an item to the basket is not an order. A contract is formed when we send an order confirmation, and until that point we may decline or cancel an order, including where an item has sold out, where a price was listed in error, or where we suspect fraud.
If we cancel an order after payment, the full amount is refunded to the original payment method. We do not substitute a different product without asking first, and we do not part-ship an order unless you request it.
Order details, including the delivery address, can be changed until the order is picked. After the 5pm cut-off the parcel is with the carrier and changes have to be handled through them.
3. Prices, taxes and payment
All prices are in US dollars. The price you see is the price of the product; no handling fee is added at checkout. Any sales tax that applies is calculated and shown before you pay, based on the delivery address.
We may change prices at any time, but the price that applies to your order is the one shown at the moment you completed checkout. If a price was obviously wrong, such as a box listed at a fraction of its normal cost, we may cancel the order and refund you rather than fulfil it.
Payment is taken at the time of ordering, including for preorders. Card details are handled by the payment provider and are never stored on this website.
4. Delivery
Delivery is free on orders over $1,000. Below that threshold the cost is calculated at checkout and shown before payment. Orders placed before 5pm on a working day are dispatched the same day; orders placed after that are dispatched the next working day.
Parcels are sent with FedEx, DHL and USPS, and in some areas with a local delivery company. Every order ships tracked, and the tracking reference is emailed when the parcel leaves. Delivery estimates are estimates: transit time is controlled by the carrier, not by us.
Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. If a parcel is lost or damaged in transit, contact us and we will open a claim with the carrier. Please keep the packaging until the claim is resolved.
5. Returns and refunds
Sealed product can be returned within 48 hours of purchase. The item must be unopened with the factory wrap intact, because sealed product cannot be resold once it has been opened. The 48 hours run from the time of purchase, not from delivery.
| Situation | Outcome |
|---|---|
| Sealed, unopened, within 48 hours | Return accepted, refund on inspection |
| Opened or unwrapped product | Not returnable |
| Damaged in transit | Reported and replaced or refunded |
| Wrong item sent | Replaced at our cost |
| Order cancelled before dispatch | Refunded in full |
To start a return, contact us with the order number and a photograph of the item. Do not send anything back before you have a return instruction, because parcels without one cannot be matched to an order. Refunds are made to the original payment method once the item is received and checked.
6. Preorders and release dates
A preorder reserves product that has not been released yet. Payment is taken when the order is placed and the parcel is dispatched on or after the release date shown on the listing, in the order the reservations were received.
Release dates are set by the publisher and can move. If a date moves, the listing and the release calendar are updated and preorders are dispatched on the revised date. If a product is cancelled by the publisher, the order is refunded in full.
If your basket contains both in-stock and preorder items, the parcel ships when everything is available unless you ask us to split the order.
7. Product descriptions and images
Product descriptions quote the contents stated by the publisher: pack counts, cards per pack and what is included in the box. Photographs are of the product type and may show a different set or printing from the one you receive, because publishers reuse packaging layouts across releases.
Where a listing states a condition, that condition describes the sealed outer packaging, not the individual cards inside it, which we cannot inspect without opening the product. Minor shelf wear on a sealed box is normal and is not a fault.

8. Liability
We are responsible for supplying product that matches its description and for delivering it to the address you gave us. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable when the contract was made, such as lost profit, lost tournament placements or the change in value of a collectible card after purchase.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected by anything on this page.
Our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, except where the law says otherwise.
9. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of [STATE], and disputes are subject to the courts of that state. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not remove any protection you have under the mandatory law of your own country or state.
Before taking a dispute further, contact us. Almost every problem is an order that can be traced, replaced or refunded, and a written conversation resolves it faster than a formal process.
10. Changes and contact
We may update these terms when the way we sell changes, for example when a carrier or a returns process changes. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you ordered, and the effective date at the top of this page records when the current version took effect.
Questions about these terms go to [SUPPORT EMAIL] or through the contact page. Include your order number if the question is about a specific purchase.
